Say "words!" in the comments and I'll respond with 5 words that I associate with you. Write something about them in your LJ.

Seeing as I am such an attention whore I jumped on the bandwagon and asked the lovely Mr Scott for words he associates with me and for me to elaborate on them.

Confrontation...

The weird thing for me is that whilst a great deal of my friends know me through LARP they often see me being quite confrontational. It's true whilst in the medium of cross country panto I love a good ruck, rumble and rucus but in real life it is the exact opposite. I hate to complain, if I purchase something and it's defective, if left to my own devices will just assept it as it is. At times I find it hard to ask for stuff in shops and hate to "be a bother" by asking assitants for help. I've had a few fights in real life but don;t look for them or in fact enjoy them.

Language...

I think profanity is both big and clever. I don;t think any word should cause offence and will use any word I blooming well choose. But. I can be exceedingly lazy in the language I use and often come across as less eloquent as I would like myself to be perceived.

Intrigue...
Agin in LARP I love a good bit of intrigue and in fact in real life like it too. I think everyone plays a different "self" when with different parties and I like to try and see how it plays out in the bigger picture.

Mud...
He he he. I like mud, I like the way it feels I like the way it looks it makes our silly hobby look more authentic, a bit like snow. Did I mind plastering my face with it for years at Omega? Heck no. Would I do it again? Probably.

Booze...

Strange fact, I was tea total until about 20. Never drank a drop before then. I don;t particularly like the taste of most alcoholic drinks but as with many things connected to my most commonoly worn mask, if I'm going to do something, I'll do it to massive excess. Tomorrow night for example I will drink far far too much ( I'll usually go through half a bottle of vodka before leaving the house) and drink lots lots more. Are there times when I turn into an idiot on booze? More often than not sadly, but thems the breaks

Well it's been a while since my last update. I'm now gainfully employed by BT themselves and train the poor saps who wish to join operator services in Milton Keynes. Though the training bit will only last until May it's a great job with a lot more money than I was on before.
Maelstrom... Hmm I'm looking forward to it but it's only a game. I have a lot of respect for Matt but believe me he ain't some beatific model of godhood like his fan boys think. The amount of whining on pagga is getting on my tits as much as it is with Mr Andrews though if it was myself running the game, I wouldn't cancel it I'd deliberatley kit the monsters out in Iron Maiden T shirts and trainers and make them use gaffa weapons with dowling cores.

Whilst on Games must book for NWO as I keep on forgetting to do so, god I'm a spazz sometimes (well most times) and need to step up work on Zenith LRP. The world is coming on in leaps and bounds I'm happy with the races, religions and culture. The cosmology is the sweetest thing I have ever had a hand in creating. Also my other LRP project the Dark Ages game is plodding on, we have a meeting for it next week and am rather looking forward to it.

Maelstromania: noun, The delusional mental disorder when a person has little or no life and believes that a piece of work is being done solely for their benefit. Symptoms include a great deal of frothing, the delusion that they can mold the work themselves by whining, anxiety and a belief that they have very little time left to prepare for something.

Well I haven't updated in quite a while and being bunged up to the eyeballs with mucus I feel the need for an outlet. As far as work goes, in the new year I will be a proper BT employee, full contract, half the hours yet double the pay, 5 days extra holiday and no sundays unless I choose to work them. Life doesn't get much sweeter than that. Work on the other LARP projects plods on at some pace, the Dark Ages game is coming on in leaps and bounds and looks set to run next year. Ponkfest or Mandorla as it is now known is steaming ahead as well, 20th century physics? I think not peeps. I'm realy looking forward to both games as they are very different, the dark ages game being quite low fantasy based around a pioneering community branching out into the unknown and Mandorla being very high fantasy with quite a few fest LRP conventions thrown out of the window. Must also book for NWO in the next few days, the char I wanted from the off is still up for grabs which is pretty cool.

Must also contact the Raffster as I wanna pop up to Lindisfarne in the New Year so may as well drop in on the Sunderland massive (and that's just his ego/gut). It can't be any worse than Sutton Poo which for a National Trust flagship centre sucked uffington horses balls.

Must do more work on Mandorla races now so TTFN.

Well OP luvvie is almost upon us, Mr Andrews has some sort of illness he claims will prevent him from going, which in my mind means he doesn't want to spend time with one of his most favourite people in the world (not me). Ady has again dug himself a greater hole and is not looking forward to the game due to IC infatuation with someone who honest and harry could have been a little nicer about casting. Though Ady does have a nice ironic idea. Then there's my kit, for the past week I've put off finishing it and that leaves tonight, I was hoping that perhaps some pixies could come and finish it while I watched the Indiana Jones boxed set, or that ordering stuff of amazon may make it finish itself, but oh no, there's no magic in this world. Aside from the stuff Alan Moore and Clive Barker use to write with.
Still Scam and Bertie will be there as will the luvvies Mr Curtis and some of the Bradford Massive. So all in all should still be a stormer.

Porn Phrase of the Week:
Atomic Dock, in may ways similar to the act of docking by which an uncircumcised man furtles his foreskin over another mans member thus stimulating both men with one hand movement.
Well the latest Angel (number 3) was a bit of a filler, I was watching it hoping to take my mind off finishing the Op Luvvie kit, but it didn't. I have 3 hours on friday to get from Milton Keynes to OP luvvie, I think I can just about scrape it to get there for the 20:30 briefing, and it's gonna rock. Sue offered me a lift but Friday milton Keynes and the M25 ain't gonna be speedier.

Went into town today and no Alan Moore sightings, though Comic Shop Guy said Mr M had heard nothing on the V for Vendetta front, so bad news for pax-daddy .

As was pointed out on grendelchilds LJ I was left with a sense of loss at Kill Bill, some parts hit the mark, but more often than not it felt like the wunderkind was doing what he felt like and to hell with anyone else. Was I expecting too much? Did I go in thinking "please don't be Jackie Brown again"? Or was it just okay? Well, I'll go and see it again and give it the Jackie Brown 3 attempts to like it. Much better by far was Cabin Fever, I hurt myself laughing throughout it, and would recommend it to anyone. Whilst leaving the cinema though I was perturbed that a homeless man offered me a bigger shoe.
I'm currently watching the first season of Alias on DVD and seem to note that Sidney (or Sydney or Cid-kneee) is the worlds crappest spy, she blinks like a larper getting chatted up when she shoots a gun, that's if she ever uses one, runs like Joey Deacon would have if he tried to and she has hissy fits all the time over bugger all. I think its an A Team for the noughties with the lack of deaths and when people do go to the pearly gates it's done with great emotion. It's also got the crap celeb cameos in it, I have heard rumour that Boy George is gonna be in Season three, saying good work Mr T to her. Still I like the cliffhanger endings that make me run to get the next disc.

On another comics note does anyone remember Big Numbers by Mr Moore and Bill Sinkydinkrinkydinkydoody? We were based on a tiny island called Fano that you needed to get a ferry onto and off of, it was a little like Summerisle witout Christopher Lee.

Anyhoo Da list

Tarts
Natalie Imbruglia in the torn video
Nicole Kidman when shes not a skelly bob
Kathy Burke (no realy)
Elizabeth Montgomery from Bewitched
Alicia Silverstone

Vicars
Tim Roth
Gary Oldman (both for the scary sexiness)
Simon Pegg ( I think we have a lot in common so pillow talk would be nice)
Wilfred Bramble (Albert Steptoes mouth was made for cock)
Kevin Spacey

I find with great amusement however that Friday is National speak like a pirate day. Fun fun fun I say. Methinks I will change all my prerecorded salutations at work to fit in with the day.

Though there are very few people who know the real McKenna

2 - What do I not know about you that would surprise me?

I'm a sad and hopeless romantic.

3 - what do you like best about yourself?

Although I can be a massive tw@t I really do care loads about my friends and would walk over hot coals for them.

4 - what do you like least about yourself?

The massive tw@t bit, if I can humour some of my friends at the expense of others (including on many occassions others I class as friends) then I will go ahead with it. Take Omega for example...

5 - what do you think I think of you?

Erm a bit sad really, with a constant drive to please others.

Wow after my rant yesterday got home to my Omega D/T and was amazed, how could I take over the world without anyone doing it? Much frothage occured then off to Pirates of the Caribou or whatever it's called.

How did Orlando bloom manage to get Errol Flynn's moustache and beard? How come an American actor can do two different english accents? How come it was so damn good?

Much buckle was swashed Depp was astounding, Bloom was good, needed more Mackenzie Crook though as he as ever was amazing.

The only problem is that the amount of Jack Sparrows and Captain Barbosa wannabes that will appear will dampen my memories of a masterpiece.
